In association with our friends at Aston Advantage, we are bringing to the market a special DB7 – one that pays tribute to one of the 6 cylinder car’s more interesting evolutions, the GTS.
The actual GTSs were devised by Aston Martin Sales of Mayfair in 1996 and built by the now Chiltern Aston Centre in Hertfordshire. The GTSs were mainly cosmetic in look including twin louvred bonnet bulges a la Zagato, body coloured Alessio split rim alloys, racing yellow body decals, a sports exhaust and interior changes such as white dials. Our car has been upgraded to include some of the more noticeable GTS aspects such as a sports exhaust, body coloured split rim alloys and the racing yellow body decals. It is truly rare to see a genuinely different DB7 on the roads today and so if different is your thing, this car might well be for you.
With i6 DB7s becoming rarer and more popular as a ‘level entry’ Aston Martin, here is an opportunity to purchase a car that has been fully renovated with all works having been undertaken by marque specialists Chicane in Hampshire. Supplied new by HWM in 1999, this last of the line 6 cylinder DB7 was specified in Buckinghamshire Green with a Parchment leather piped Green interior, a Forest Green and Parchment trim and Green carpets. It has the 4 speed automatic gearbox, a factory fitted sports exhaust, ‘Alessio’ split rim wheels and with a Kenwood ‘Mask’ stereo system – all of which give the car a distinctive look and sound – in addition to standard equipment such as climate control, a 6 CD changer and electric seats.
To give this DB7 an edge, it has been upgraded to a cosmetic ‘GTS’ specification car. The split rims have been fully rebuilt with the centre sections now colour coded to the bodywork and shod with new Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres. As a final touch, DB7 GTS style racing yellow highlights have been added to the nose, the sides and around the tailpipe moulding, all making this one DB7 with a serious road presence!
The car was fully serviced by HWM up until 2009, after which the majority of the work was undertaken by a collection of vehicle specialists in and around the Surrey region. Along with a fully stamped service booklet, a spare set of keys and the original red master key is supplied.
Mechanically sound and with all systems fully operational, this is the ideal DB7 in which to make a statement. The 3.2 litre straight six supercharged engine has a gradual, but increasing, surge under acceleration. Road holding and handling, particularly with the new Bridgestone tyres, is impressively sharp and the braking is strong. With the sports exhaust giving out a very distinctive note and with the split rims wheels and body highlights creating a racing car look, this is your opportunity to purchase a DB7 that will certainly stand out from the rest, as well as being a good investment for the future as DB7 prices will be on the rise – particularly the i6s.
This stunning DB7 has a full MOT and is ready to enjoy now.
